Business has become dependent on the availability of IT systems and nothing is more disturbing than having a customer reporting that a system failed.
With the alerting features available in the ServersCheck network monitoring software, you will be notified automatically when a system does not perform as expected. If the recipient does not respond in the expected time frame, then the alert can be escalated to a different team member to ensure reception of the alert.
Email alerting
ServersCheck can notify you per email using either its built-in mail server or any outgoing SMTP server (using basic authentication or not). The content of the email can be customized using predefined variables.
SMS / Text Messages alerting
SMS alerting allows to be alerted even when your network is down. SMS alerts are sent through a GSM modem using the mobile phone network. We recommend and support the Falcom USB GSM Modems. However many other GSM modems do work with the software.
MSN alerting
Alerts can be sent to your MSN instant messaging application. If you use MSN on a mobile device (PDA, phone), then the alerts will be sent using the MSN protocol to your mobile device.
Voice call alerting (modem or SkypeOut)
ServersCheck can call you on your land line phone. By converting text to speech, it will read you out what the error message is. This option requires a voice modem (UnimodemV compatible) to be attached to the ServersCheck computer or a SkypeOut account.
Team based alerting
This option enables users to define alerting methods (such as SMS, email, MSN,...) based upon specific user profiles by looking at the time of the day and the day of the week. For example you could have in one team emails being sent out during office hours and SMS alerts after office hours and during weekends.
Signal Tower
The Signal Tower provides visual and audible alerting on the status of the monitoring. It connects via USB to the host running the Monitoring Software.
